Bear family of six

Mother bear, her four cubs and the "nanny" spent the day on the Ayakulik River doing what bears do - sleeping and fishing. The bear family was seen this afternoon, ambling along the river's edge. Mother bear as always was head of the pack leading her family and the young sow along the river's edge. At one point, the runt was reluctant to cross the very shallow water. Crying and making such a fuss over a depth of only two inches of water, the "nanny" bear took the time to lead the runt bear over to an area where no water needed to touch the bears precious little paws. So cute!!

  1. When I was younger my parents took me to this place where we could drive around in our cars and look at bears in the inclosure. It was really cool and I would love to do something like that again. Plus, I am sure my son and my husband would love it.
